Pete Daffern Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board
Pete Daffern holds the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Purisma and directs the company's strategy and operations, with focus on growth through valuable solutions, customer service, multi-functional sales and business development initiatives. Prior to Purisma, Pete was most recently President and Chief Operating Officer of AIM Technology where he was responsible for creating the company strategy and business plan, and driving execution against that plan. Before AIM, Pete served as vice president, Worldwide Alliances and Business Development of Vitria Technology, a leading BPM and EAI company. Under his direction, the Vitria Alliance organization generated more than 60% of the company's revenue. Daffern also spent more than 10 years at Seagate Software, supplier of business intelligence (BI) software products, where he held numerous management and sales positions including General Manager EMEA.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Sheffield University.
Bob Hagenau Co-Founder, Vice President of Products and Corporate Development
Bob Hagenau's 20 year career in the software business includes positions as a key player in multiple successful start-ups as well as well-known public companies. At Purisma, Bob is responsible for the definition of Purisma's product strategy, positioning of solutions and corporate development activities Prior to founding Purisma, Bob was a founding member of Acta Technology, a leader in data integration and data warehousing solutions, which was acquired by Business Objects in August of 2002 for $65 million. Bob served as Acta's Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing, leading the creation of two successful product lines and 16 core products in a highly competitive, rapidly changing market. He has also held several senior product management and software engineering positions at Advent Software, Apple Computer and IBM.
Bob has an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with highest honors from the University of California, Davis. He also serves as Chair of the Finance Committee on the Board of Directors for the International Justice Mission, a human rights organization based in Washington DC.
Paul Friedman Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Paul Friedman is a software industry veteran with 20 years of experience in engineering and technical management roles. At Purisma, he is responsible for overseeing the planning, integration and delivery of Purisma products and technologies. His organization is responsible for executing on the Purisma solution vision. Paul is a successful serial entrepreneur, having been a founding team member of Stanford Technology Group (STG), acquired by Informix for $17 million, and a founder of Supplybase, acquired by i2 for $390 million. Paul built and managed productive, efficient engineering teams for both STG and Supplybase, consistently delivering high quality enterprise software solutions on schedule. Paul has also held senior management and engineering positions at i2, Informix, Oracle, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Paul holds both a Master of Science degree and Bachelor of Science
degree in Computer Science from MIT.
Todd Clyde Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Alliances
Todd Clyde is responsible for the strategy and management of Purisma's worldwide sales and alliance partnerships. Todd has 20 years of sales and executive management experience in both technology and professional services industries. Prior to Purisma, Todd was a founding member of DigitalThink, an e-learning technology and services company. Todd was the founder of DigitalThink's custom e-learning line of business and ran sales from 1998 through 2000. After an Initial Public Offering in 2000, Todd continued to build and manage various demand functions between 2001 and 2004 including International Sales, Channels & Alliances, Product & Field Marketing, and Sales Consulting. Prior to that, Todd spent 13 years selling and managing professional IT consulting services including six years in Indonesia with Andersen Consulting where Todd was responsible for the sales development and growth of the Industrial Products consulting practice.
Todd holds a B.A. in Management Science from U.C. San Diego.
